"Get To LaPointe" Production Assistant

Employee will assist in the pre-production of Get to LaPointe, log live programs and pieces for the "Best Of" programs, and assist in the direction and camera for taped show. Candidates should be dedicated and willing to work long hours (5:30 a.m.—11:30 p.m.). Employee can expect to gain both extensive experience in live television production, remote cameras, and video editing, as well as personal insight into the mind of host Andy LaPointe.

Fitness Center Personal Broadcaster Trainer

The Onion News Network Health and Fitness Center has an opportunity for a highly motivated personal trainer. The 8,500 square-foot facility contains Quinton and Nordic Track treadmills, Lifeycles, Tectrix Stair Climbers, a Concept 2rowing machine, and Keiserstrength-training equipment, as well as free weights and a group exercise area. Knowledge of all equipment is essential. Candidates should have a background in exercise science, physical education, health education, or related area. Successful completion of a “Psychology of the TV Journalist” course as well as current CPR certification is required.

On-Air Graphics Director

Employee will research and create graphics for all Onion News Network programs. Experience using some or all of the following is required: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe InDesign; Microsoft PowerPoint; Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, and Director. Knowledge in the following Photoshop filters a plus: Fire, Smoke, and Ice.

Morning Show Host

The Onion News Network is currently searching for a female host to replace the current host on a popular, long-standing morning show. The right candidate will have a minimum of five years broadcast experience and be pleasant and easy to work with.
