For some, summer means a time to take in the sunshine and bask in the beauty of nature. But for gamers, summer is the perfect chance to retreat into the air-conditioning and make some serious progress on your backlog of titles. Here are the top games that the guy dating Corey’s mom said he would buy for him this summer.
Battlefield V:
Corey loved playing it with his real dad, so Corey’s mom’s boyfriend thought it would be an easy homerun that could keep him glued to the TV while he and his mom have adult time.
Uncharted 4:
At this point, Uncharted 4 is down to $19.99, so Tony will probably grab him this during summer vacation. It’s M-rated, which Corey’s mom doesn’t like, but her boyfriend doesn’t seem to care. His name is Tony, we think.
Spider-Man:
Corey’s mom doesn’t know why he needs another superhero game when he already has Arkham Knight, but Tony told him he could get it if he was good on their trip to North Carolina next month. He’s kind of cool that way.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey:
Tony still hasn’t paid Corey for mowing the lawn, so he’s thinking of just asking him to buy this instead.
Super Mario: Odyssey:
Corey already has this game, so this one’s going to be a bit of a screwup on his mom’s boyfriend’s part.
Soul Calibur VI:
Corey’s mom’s boyfriend promised he’d get him this after he got in a big fight with his mom where she was crying and yelling and stuff.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided:
Apparently, when Tony finishes paying back the insurance money from that accident he was in, this is the first game he’s going to get for Corey.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!:
We’re probably going to try getting our mom’s boyfriend—Michael—to get us this game because then we can play with Corey online in battle mode.
